PIEEE YUMMM

I made my first pie today. Apple pie isn't my favorite, but it seemed to be the easiest...I was wrong. I thought it would take me an hour tops, but it took me about 5 hours. First I had to cut and peel 7 apples then mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt with them. I then had to make the pie crust. First I had to read my Great Grandma's handwriting for the recipe, which took 30 minutes, then I could finally mix all the ingredients together. (Did you know you put vinegar in dough?) I thought I should probably do half of the recipe so I had to do a trick move and put half an egg in with the flour, sugar, and everything else. After mending the dough and putting that and the apples in a pie tin I didn't have enough dough to cover the top of the pie. So I had to crack another egg and use half again haha. The pie was done longer then expected, but ended up being really good!
